The Houses in Vernazza, Italy

This is one thing you will notice in Vernazza, Italy and probably also in the other villages of the Cinque Terre. Italians in this village usually hang their clothes right outside their windows. I find it good because it is one way of caring Mother Nature. I guess you know what I mean about this. Using dryers also means not using electric and power, thus also saving money for not using one.

This lovely town is located in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northwestern Italy. It is one of the five towns of the Cinque Terre. It belong to the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Our sightseeing here last spring 2011 was a wonderful experience.

Did you see shadows on the image? I am happy to join these lovely memes below. This is also my first time to join Shadow Shot Sunday.

I love to see laundry hanging outdoors--and I love the smell of sunshine-dried laundry too!

I HAVE A LITTLE SHADOW

I have a little shadow that always follows me;
My shadow is my best friend, as anyone can see.

No matter where my feet go, my shadow’s always there—
Except, of course, at midnight with darkness everywhere!

Americans use to hang out laundry but seemed to have stopped this practice with the advent of electric dryers. Too bad. Like you say, this saves energy and gets you outside into the world. Interesting photos. Thanks for visiting my blog.
